The Angas Zinc Mine at Strathalbyn was commissioned in late July 2008, with the majority of the positions required being successfully recruited by that date. In an effort to support the community, local people were given priority for positions wherever possible. The team at the mine is now at full capacity.
Exploration continues in the Fleurieu region with the work being carried out by Terramin geologists who are being ably assisted by local field assistants.
Work at the Tala Hamza project in Algeria is progressing as planned, and continues to achieve record intersections. Pre-feasibility studies are ongoing with Bateman, Golder Associates and in-house engineers. Local community people with the appropriate skills and experience are given the opportunity of employment wherever possible.
