Corporate
Nic Clift - Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer
Nic has over 30 years of international experience in the mining and base metals extraction, refining, and recycling industries. He has worked in a variety of corporate, management, project, development, and operating roles, and has extensive experience of dealing with Government and Local Administration. More than a third of his career has been spent in Africa; most recently he ran Kamoto Operating Limited in the DRC, and prior to that CBG in Guinea. He is a graduate of the University of Manchester, holds an MBA from the University of Queensland, and is a Fellow of the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy (FAusIMM).
Mark Terry - Chief Financial Officer
Mark is a CPA with more than fifteen years' experience in the management of finance matters in the mineral exploration and mining industry. He started his career with KPMG before holding a series of diverse senior finance positions with Normandy Mining Limited, Newmont Australia and Xstrata Zinc where he was Finance and Commercial Manager for Australian operations. He has broad experience in corporate treasury, mergers and acquisitions, resource project evaluation, accounting, tax and general management roles and brings a strong focus on systems, management accounting and compliance to support the developing operations.
Rebecca Jarrett - Business Capability Manager
Rebecca has more than 10 years' experience in systems and organisational capability gained from public and private sectors. She led crisis response, change management and stakeholder engagement during her career in the British civil service. More recently, her focus has been on systems implementation, HR and risk management in the international resources industry. Rebecca has an MA in Interpreting and Translation from Heriot Watt University and Terramin is supporting her through an MBA programme at the University of South Australia.
Patricia Williams - HR Manager
Patricia is a human resource professional with extensive experience in recruitment and generalist human resource practice. Prior to joining Terramin, Patricia was a founding partner in a successful South Australian human resource consultancy which specialised in organisational structure and development, performance management and recruitment. She was responsible for managing large client selection and recruitment campaigns for major projects as well as undertaking the role of Corporate Services Manager for the business. Patricia is a member of the Australian Human Resources Institute.
Stephane Gauducheau - Legal Counsel & Company Secretary
Stephane is a lawyer with experience in commercial, corporate and financing transactions. Whilst in private practice Mr. Gauducheau advised mining and oil and gas companies on projects and transactions in Australia, Europe, North and West Africa and the Middle East. Stephane is admitted to legal practice in South Australia and in France.
Ian Holman - Chief Engineer
Ian is a tertiary qualified Mining and Mechanical Engineer, with in excess of 35 years experience in engineering and management in operational,project and corporate roles in Africa, Asia, Europe, USA and Australia. Most recently he was the General Manager of the technical support function for RioTinto Minerals Europe and Asia Pacific, prior to which he was the Design and Construction Manager for the Argyle Diamonds Block Cave Project. Ian has had extensive mining and project execution experience across a number of commodities in remote and 3rd World environments.
Norman Dinevski - Commercial & Marketing Manager
Norman is a CA with over 12 years experience in the mining industry. He spent a number of years in diverse finance roles with Normandy Mining Limited and Newmont Australia, including corporate and management accounting, concentrate marketing and logistics, and contracts management. His base metals operations experience includes senior finance and commercial roles with Xstrata Zinc's Mount Isa operations and with Oz Minerals' Prominent Hill project. Since 2008 Norman has fulfilled the role of Financial Controller for Terramin Australia Limited. Supported by his broad experience in corporate and operations finance and accounting, he brings a strong focus to the commercial, marketing and logistics functions.
Shaun Reincke - Financial Controller
Shaun is a Chartered Accountant and Chartered Secretary with over eight years' experience in finance including several years in the resources industry. Prior to joining Terramin, he was the manager of a corporate accounting and advisory division of a mid-tier firm, providing consulting services to a range of ASX-listed resource companies. He has a strong background in financial accounting, budgeting, taxation, corporate governance and management. In addition his experience includes mergers and acquisitions, capital raising and corporate finance and is a fellow of the Financial Securities Institute of Australia. Shaun was appointed to the role of Financial Controller for Terramin Australia Limited in 2011.
Angas Operations
Robert Howie - Mine General Manager
Robert has an engineering and management career spanning 20 years, earning him a diverse background across hard rock mining, underground and open cut, within Australia and Europe. Formerly the project manager for Downer EDI Mining's Goonyella operation of the BHP Billiton Mitsubishi Alliance (BMA), Robert lead successful site projects with a focus on safety, operations and maintenance performance and local community involvement. Robert has international experience as the General Manager of the one million tonne per annum Chelopech underground copper-gold mine in Bulgaria in Eastern Europe as well as working on some of Australia's largest mining operations including the Century lead zinc mine, BHP's Queensland Nickel and Olympic Dam operations.
Susan Palmer - HR Officer
Susan who has recently joined Terramin Australia Limited, has five years' experience as a Human Resources generalist within the Oil & Gas and Manufacturing Industries coupled with a Diploma in Business Management (Human Resources). Key specialist areas of expertise include, award and enterprise agreement drafting and negotiations, corporate policy and procedure development, strategic change management initiatives and employee dispute and grievance resolution. Additional capabilities include recruitment and selection across the trades and services fields, performance management support and advise as well as successful rehabilitation and return to work management for injured employees. In addition Susan is qualified as a ISO9001 Quality Management Systems Internal Auditor and has been directly involved in establishing quality control documentation systems.
Andrew Harris - Mine Manager
Andrew holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Mining Engineering) (Hons 1st Class) from the University of South Australia. He has experience across a variety of underground mining operations, from 3mtpa base metal caving operations to 700,000tpa narrow vein gold mining operations. Mr Harris holds a South Australian First Class Underground Mine Manager's Certificate of Competency and is a member of the AusIMM.
Rene van Oevelen - Mill Metallurgical Superintendent
Rene's career to date has focused on flotation plants, including a complex oxide/sulphide flotation plant in North Queensland and a large volume copper flotation plant in Cloncurry. Prior to joining the Angas management team, he held the positions of Continuous Improvement Manager and Metallurgy Superintendent at Newmont Mining Corporation's Granites Gold Mine. Rene's career highlights include the commissioning of water detoxification plants in Queensland and Northern Territory and plant upgrades to increase capacity and reduce operating costs, as well as diverse continuous improvement projects. He holds an Applied Science Degree in Metallurgy from the South Australian Institute of Technology.
Algeria Operations
John Burgess - General Manager, Tala Hamza Project
John is a process and environmental engineer with 35 years' experience in zinc plants, mostly at Broken Hill. He consulted to Zinifex Limited on the Century Mine and on various nickel and gold operations and has held positions as manager of Metallurgy and Environment at Broken Hill and General Manager of the Renison Tin Mine. He has extensive experience in commissioning nickel, copper and gold plants and most recently he managed the successful commissioning of the Angas Zinc Mine.
Sam Hewitt - Principal Engineer
Sam is a Mining Engineer with 15 years' experience in the mining and civil tunnelling industries. He worked for ten years with Freeport-McMoran Copper & Gold, primarily at the world-class Grasberg mining complex in Indonesia where he gained valuable experience with large scale Block Cave mining and infrastructure development; his most recent position was as General Superintendent for the 29 Mtpa Deep MLZ block cave project. Other assignments have included roles in the USA, Hong Kong and Malaysia, as well as across Australia. Sam is a graduate from the University of South Australia (Bachelor of Engineering Hons 1A) and holds a Graduate Diploma in Management from Deakin University.
Geology & Exploration
Charlotte Hy - Principal Geologist, Oued Amizour Project
Charlotte is a structural and metamorphic specialist trained in Paris. She has consulted in exploration and mining projects for precious and base metals in Australia and overseas. Projects in exploration have involved large-scale compilations of geophysical data (satellite imagery, airborne geophysics), geological information and extensive field work and she has conducted structural modelling of underground and open pit ore bodies for the mining industry. She is a member of the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy.
Ken Cross - Principal Geologist, Fleurieu Region
Ken has 30 years experience in the minerals industry, working with prospectors and junior exploration companies prior to joining WMC Resources Limited in 1984 as a mine geologist at Kambalda nickel mine, Western Australia. From 1986-93 he worked at Olympic Dam as Senior Research Geologist and later with WMC Resources Exploration Division as Senior Exploration Geologist (SA/NT), focused on Olympic Dam style Cu-Au exploration. Ken has a strong background in geoscience computing and technology and has worked extensively in Australia and overseas consulting to companies including BHP Billiton, Anglogold, WMC Resources Limited and junior explorers.
