Terramin was incorporated in December, 1993 under the name of Playford Resources NL with the objective of exploring and developing Australian mineral resources opportunities. Investigations have been undertaken in the Northern Territory, Western Australia, Victoria and in more recent times South Australia. Lately it has looked off-shore for new projects.
In 1997 Terramin acquired the Fleurieu project situated in Australia’s first mining belt east of Adelaide. The tenements included the Angas Pb-Zn-Ag resource. Terramin has quadrupled the resource and identified a substantial high grade core.
In 2003, Terramin acquired the Menninnie Dam tenement, containing South Australia’s largest lead/zinc/silver deposit. It also has potential for copper deposits. In late 2003 Terramin listed on the ASX in a fully underwritten IPO. Its code is TZN. In 2004 a business development unit was created to find and negotiate further base metal acquisitions with strong fundamentals.
The Company has grown strongly and now has a first rate engineering, production and financial team capable of taking its projects from exploration to profits.
